Final Tutorial 1.4.2010

We had out final class for the semester this morning. Handed our CDs that contained every task/work we had to do the entire sem in to Major Jasmy.

He is certainly a thorough person. For each person’s CD, he actually opened it and checked if everything was there.

Which is decent of him; you know, just to make sure that we’ve got everything that’s required. :)

“Well done, Lisa !” he said. Ahaha.

Rasa bangga pulak XP (Cos SOME people *coughYANAcough* didn’t get that remark teehee) (Just kidding :P)

Feel kinda sad that it’s over now. Had some fun in this class (enjoying free fast Internet connection in the Lab) and learned some interesting things about doing videos, photography, graphics etc.

Anddddd

Posers aren't we? Too bad Jessie couldn't be in the pic :(

I wanna say that I really had fun with my fellow group members for the final video assignment. It surely brought us closer together in more ways than one :)

Thanks, guys !

Thanks, Major Jasmy ! :P

Hope that whatever I’ve learned here, I won’t just allow to masuk telinga kanan, keluar telinga kiri, but be able to apply and use in the future.

Whoohooo~ *happy mode*

Lost in HPA pulak?

April 1, 2010 at 10:09 AM (Uncategorized) (, )

Our group was looking for a “suitable place to conduct our activities.”

Then we decided that HPA was the “perfect” place !

Dwee, Alia, Syai and Wan’s group, on the other hand….

…got lost in HPA, without knowing it was HPA apparently (Wan has always been blur =.=).

Enjoy their group’s video, which I think was really well done !

Loveddddd the acting !

Our class not bad laa; we have many great actors !

Shalini, Farah, Nisa and As’s group was simply hilarious !

Gorsh, Shalini’s face just cracked me up ! :P

Then, Kak Farah, Aini, Anis and Joe’s group was really creative too.

They did on flora and fauna of HPA, so created a fictional character Mawar Mewangi who fell sick and went in search of a cure – using HPA flora and fauna. Was good ! Kak Farah made a scarrryyy Nenek Kebayan ! wakaka

Unfortunately, I don’t have their videos though.

Oh well.

Wish you could have seen them. I’m sure you would’ve enjoyed them as much as I did !

Seriously impressed me, these cute-unsuspecting-but-have-hidden-talents-for-acting classmates of mine ! XD

So Close

Our video is done.

Oh.My.God.

It was one of the toughest videos I have ever worked on.

Not on the task alone, but we just experienced problem after problem after problem after problem…*go on to infinity*

It was utterly exhausting. But I think we’re done.

The grand UNVEILING is tomorrow.

Takutnya… >.<

Hope everything goes well. *crosses fingers*

This is the video from which I got my idea for my bag.

Since everyone was asking about it, I give you the video. So have a look yourself, and see how easy it is to make !

Have fun trying it out like I did ! :)

Play Over Work, Any Day !

March 12, 2010 at 12:41 AM (Uncategorized) ()

I was involved in the New Tune Live Performance XIII in DECTAR up until late the previous night.

So many rehearsals and practices on my Chinese pronunciation (which I am utterly hopeless in >.<) and dance moves for the finale which I did not want to mess up.

I was completely exhausted after spending eternity the whole day in DECTAR busy with practices and prepping for the show and returning to the comfort of my room only at 1.00am in the morning :(

So, it was no surprise that I did not feel like waking up at 8.00am in the morning for a 9.00am class the following day. >.<

My feet hurt, my back ached, my eyes were heavy, and every yawn I made (which came every few minutes or so) made me tear up as if I were crying over a tragic Korean drama story.

Here’s a secret: I really did not feel like going for class this morning. Yes, I was actually extremely tempted to skip.

I rushed to get the 8.30am bus and made it to the Lab nice and early for class. Took a seat at a computer and started browsing through my usual: Facebook.

Sometimes, it is so automated that it scares me. >.<

Without realizing it, it was already

10.15 am

and Major Jasmy had not yet appeared on the scene !

Strange >.<

Was class canceled and I had forgotten to write it down?

But there were others who were there in the Lab as well. So, it’s not just me.

Eh, korang, mana Major Jasmy? Takde kelas ke?

I shrug.

Facebook addicts ! wheee~

And return to Facebook.

Make use of the free and fast internet connection in FPend, why not? :)

I’m a Hero

February 20, 2010 at 1:34 PM (Uncategorized) ()

I have some news for you: I’m a HERO.

Really.

Yes, really.

I have made an impact in the quality of life of all of humanity !

I don’t really like to blow my own trumpet.

But this was just out in the Swedish press. So what is the point of keeping it secret anymore, right?

So, here’s proof !

Lights, Camera, Action !

February 8, 2010 at 4:40 PM (Uncategorized) ()

We were supposed to create a video as our Multimedia group project, as was briefed in Dr. R’s earlier lectures. And we were given quite a number of examples and sample videos that we could create as well.

My group (three of us) actually had been blissfully unaware of the fact that we were supposed to hand in a written analysis report on the progress of our group project to our respective tutors to be given the green light on producing the video.

We finally sat down to discuss what we really wanted to do for our video – what issue would we want to address, what message would we want to convey to the audience regarding the said issue.

We came up with the issue of Old Folks abandonment. The problem with this society is that the number of old folks in charity homes are increasing year by year. Yet, many of these old people have children who are more than able to care for them in their old age. What leads them to make such a harsh and cruel decision to send their parents/grandparents to homes? What has become of the younger working generation? Is career too important to think about what is best for the people who once cared for them?

Old is Gold

The objective of the video then, would be to raise awareness especially in the target audience of the younger generation, of the needs of old folks. Also, the video would aim to instill the values of loving the elderly in the audience who watch it.

We made plans to scour the nearby areas of Kajang and Bangi for Old Folks’ Homes or any charity organization homes, or ask around the local people who should know better than us.

However, tutorial class last Thursday deemed all that unnecessary.

Major Jasmy decided to narrow down our topic to that of:

Hutan Pendidikan Alam.

“Where is that?” I asked.

Not surprisingly, I was surprised to find out that Hutan Pendidikan Alam was right smack in UKM itself.

I guess it is relatively more convenient as compared to having to travel outside of UKM bringing cameras and video camera gear to shoot the video. I guess the topic desperately needs some promotive efforts. No one in the class knew about Hutan Pendidikan Alam (HPA) in UKM until Major Jasmy mentioned it that day.

What a sad bunch of people to call themselves UKM students eh? Aheh.

Anyway, I have now absolutely zero ideas on how to portray the good points of HPA by means of a video. What do we include? What kinds of pictures. What sort of recordings? What kind of music? Audio files?

Darn. We definitely have to meet up again. >.<

As it is, there is no black-and-white on what we plan to do for our Multimedia group project. But I think we should start before the Chinese New Year/mid-term break.

On another note, I cannot wait for the CNY break to come ! Food FOod FOOd and FOOD !!!! :P

I am so gonna put on weight in two weeks >.<

Student Council Election

January 27, 2010 at 6:06 PM (Uncategorized) ()

This Thursday, our university is holding its Student Council election for both Faculty and general seats.

There has not been much of a hoo-ha this semester. I wonder why. I thought I remembered more excitement and tension last year.

The candidates were only named last Monday. And this Thursday, we are already required to vote.

I’m not so much into politics and all that. I do not wish to state my stand here either.

Just mentioned this because, consequently, there will be no Thursday tutorial this week.

I reaaallllyyyy want to say I’m jumping for joy, but I know I should be disappointed there is no class.

So, for the record, I am utterly devastated there will be no class this Thursday. :) *giggles*

Yellow !

January 13, 2010 at 4:49 PM (Uncategorized) ()

This is pretty exciting !

First time using a WordPress account for blogging. There seems to be so many strange unfamiliar buttons and widgets and whatnot.

Hopefully, I can get the hang of it soon ! :)

p.s: The title of this post does not refer to the colour, but rather a random word that rhymes with “Hello”. Nevermind. Ignore the feeble-minded XD
